Maharashtra to reconsider Telangana proposal for Tummidihatti barrage

Authorities in Maharashtra have agreed to reconsider a proposal from Telangana regarding the Tummidihatti barrage.

A recent meeting between the two sides centered on plans to modify the design and increase the overall height of the project to 152 metres.

If approved, the revision would alter the terms of an earlier inter-state pact. Under the original agreement established in 2016, the barrage height was envisaged at exactly 148 metres. The new discussions mark a potential shift from those previously agreed parameters.
