Rays defeat Brewers 4-3 in 12 innings to avoid World Series sweep

WASHINGTON PSqure Daily Correspondent

The Tampa Bay Rays secured a 4-3 walk-off victory against the Brewers on Tuesday night, capturing Game 4 of the World Series in extra innings to avoid a series sweep. Facing elimination, Tampa Bay mounted a late rally to stay alive in the championship.

The decisive action occurred in the twelfth inning, when the Rays scored two runs to complete the comeback. Prior to the rally, the Brewers were positioned to claim a definitive sweep and close out the World Series.

By staving off elimination with their extra-innings performance, Tampa Bay ensures the matchup will continue. The late victory allows the Rays to advance the series rather than ending their season on Tuesday.
