Major stock market indices register significant losses in early trading

Stock market indices registered noticeable declines during early trading. The 30-share BSE Sensex experienced a significant drop, shedding 536.30 points to reach a level of 72,583.86.

Similarly, the 50-share NSE Nifty also recorded substantial losses in the initial session. The index retreated by 200.10 points, moving down to 22,402.80.

The downward movement across both key indicators highlighted an overall negative trajectory for equities as the trading day commenced.
