The Mumbai Indians have named Kieron Pollard as their new head coach. He assumes the position in the aftermath of a disappointing run for the franchise during the 2026 IPL tournament.
Pollard replaces outgoing coach Mahela Jayawardene at the helm. The leadership change brings an end to Jayawardene’s second stint managing the team, a tenure that spanned two seasons before concluding with the team's underwhelming 2026 campaign.
