Delhi Capitals have appointed former Sri Lanka pace bowler Chaminda Vaas as their fast-bowling coach, bringing one of Asian cricket's most decorated seamers into their backroom setup.

Vaas claimed 355 wickets across 111 Test appearances for Sri Lanka and took 400 wickets in one-day international cricket, establishing himself as one of the most successful bowlers his country has produced.

He fills the position left by Munaf Patel, who served as the franchise's bowling coach across the previous two seasons.
