GSLV Successfully Places Next-Generation NVS-03 Navigation Satellite Into Orbit

The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) has successfully placed the next-generation NVS-03 navigation satellite into orbit. Spearheaded by the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro), the deployment is designed to revive the NavIC constellation and boost military independence.

The NVS-03 spacecraft is engineered to operate for a mission life of 12 years. Its primary objective is to restore the proper functioning of the NavIC network, ensuring sustained and reliable navigation capabilities.

To achieve highly accurate positioning data, the satellite is equipped with an indigenous atomic clock. This domestically built instrument operates alongside additional procured atomic clocks integrated into the spacecraft's payload.
