Repoll recommended at three Agra Teachers booths over alleged irregularities

A repoll has been recommended at three polling booths in the Agra Teachers Member of Legislative Council constituency following claims of electoral misconduct. The move comes after a Samajwadi Party candidate alleged irregularities during the voting process and threatened conversion.

The disputed voting took place on Friday as part of a wider legislative election. Ballots were cast across a total of 11 constituencies.

The broader Friday polls were held to elect representatives for six teachers constituencies and five graduate constituencies of the Legislative Council.
